PRICE ADJUSTMENT GALDEN 01.01.2022
We have all been aware of the sometimes massive cost increases in the supply chains for some time
Known time. We have now also been informed by the manufacturer for the heat transfer medium Galden
an unfortunately very short lead time due to significantly increased prices for the procurement of the
Raw materials, but also the transport and energy costs.
These make a significant price increase necessary on the part of the manufacturer.
In the past, the manufacturer and, above all, we have managed to keep the prices for Galden constant for 7 years by compensating previous cost increases.
However, further compensation is no longer possible.
We are therefore forced to pass this price increase on to you as a customer.
A lot of investigations regarding the use of Galden TM polymers and its characteristics for vapor phase soldering applications has confirmed that there is no danger to use it for this kind of process
Galden TM polymers are non-flammable or explosive and exceptionally inert against all chemicals up to high temperatures; they do not react with acids, alkalis or strong oxidants and are compatible with all known plastics, metals and elastomers.
When used as intended, i.e. under normal pressure conditions in boiling mode, all Galden types are thermally stable.
Due to the high density, the vapor forms an inert atmosphere and thus reliably protects the soldering material from oxidation. The oxygen present in the molecule is chemically bound and does not react.
Galden TM polymers have been tested for toxic fission products in many experiments, even under practical conditions. These were not detectable in all cases
